Discover the boundless genealogical resources at New-York Historical and learn techniques for diving into your research in this program—meant for beginners—presented in partnership with the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society. Advance registration required
This event is co-sponsored by the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society and is meant as an overview for beginners. Tickets are $50 per person, and $40 for N-YHS members.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE
2–3 pm
Research in the Library: Take a tour of the special collections at the Patricia D. Klingenstein Library! Guided by an experienced reference librarian, learn how to register and conduct research of your own and how to locate and contextualize primary and secondary resources.
3–4 pm
Ten Tips for Exploring Your Family’s History: You’ve gotten inspired by the New-York Historical collection—so, what’s next? Learn 10 essential steps to discover your family’s story from a New York Genealogical and Biographical Society expert.
